Gone Girl is a rollercoaster of a movie that messes with your head in the best way. From the start, it pulls you into the seemingly perfect but deeply toxic marriage of Nick and Amy Dunne. Ben Affleck nails the role of Nick, balancing cluelessness and suspicion, but it’s Rosamund Pike who absolutely owns the movie as Amy. She’s chilling, brilliant, and so unpredictable that you can’t take your eyes off her.
Its dark, sleek, and unsettling. The plot twists hit just as hard as they did in the book, and the way the story unfolds keeps you constantly guessing. If you’re into dark, mind-bending dramas with stellar performances, Gone Girl is a must-watch. Just be prepared to feel a little paranoid about love afterward.
I liked the movie but the book is one of my all time favourite. The ending I’d slightly more twisted in the book (in case you’re yet to read). But even the way movie is made with details…the flow of scenes…it is awesome. I think of her every time I have stuffed olive.
