Your first alien movie will always have a special place in your heart. It’s that moment when you’re struck by the realization: life beyond Earth might actually exist, and those distant planets could be more than just a list we memorized in school. It’s an experience that shifts your perspective. Close Encounters of the Third Kind just did exactly that for me. It shifted my perspective about life. Everything about this movie is mesmerising. The music is fantastic and the direction is hauntingly beautiful It feels intimate and grand all at once. I wish I could watch it in the theatres.
