There is this new wave that demonizes the use of chemicals and processing, praising that our ancestors were connected to nature, and lived healthier.
This has also been one of the driving force of Ayurveda. Most of my family members use Ayurvedic products everywhere.
This stigma that we had a better life then, compared to what we have now has been pushed by brands for their marketing, and people believe it without evidences.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Ayurveda, but, we had these thousands of years ago, there was a reason we transitioned to what we have now.
Some places it makes sense (use your ayurvedic toothpaste) but not everywhere (ayurvedic cream? What about skin type? Genetics? Climate conditions? )

I agree. Chemicals are not our foes. Overuse and use of wrong chemicals are.
Companies keep on selling ineffective ayurvedic creams for things that can be easily solved with mild chemicals like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.
++ One of the biggest examples of this cherry picking outcomes in food industry is ghee. I know people who have sedentary lifestyles have started drinking ‘ghee coffee’ because celebs do so 😵💫

Ghee Coffee is still a new phenomenon what about old practices of using loads of ghee in the food for recovery from an accident, surgery or in my region even child birth, most of my mom's patients refuse to take vitamin C for quicker healing but would drink something called "Peji" which is a concoction of Jaggery and Ghee and recommended dosage is about a bowl twice a day.
No wonder they end up eating more Aspirin than Vit C eventually.
