I give it a 7/10. It could have been better but in typical netflix kdrama pattern it was sprinkled with pointless side stories, unnecessary drama, corporate sabotage, family feud stuff.

Currently on Ep 07. Watching it mostly because the ML is a goofy idiot, but has his moments. I like the edge this adds to his dynamic with the FL, who is his complete opposite.
Everything else that you pointed out about KDramas comes with the territory, I guess.

This would have been so much better if it was a found family drama instead. Why every kdrama follows this predictable pattern I have no idea... π« π«
I would love to know some names that sort of break the mold ππΌ

This is one of my favourites in the genre, along with Reply 1988. Possible that you've seen it.

Do you have any kdrama recommendations that do not follow the usual predictable kdrama framework? My friend recommended goblin and my mister to me. Haven't watched them yet.

25-21 is subversive in the way you might hate it (ending) but I love it because it works perfectly. I also watched Light Shop not too long back and liked it, but it's horror. Beyond Evil is also a popular recommendation and worth a shot.
