After sharing this on my weekly email with my team, this definitely deserved a moment of it's own, so here it is.
Raising Bhoori, a stray in our lane, for so long, I never thought I'd see her become a guardian angel. Then came Pixel, our tiny new puppy. The other strays weren't exactly thrilled, but Bhoori? From the start, she was glued to Pixel's side. Of course, I kept them apart at first, until Pixel got all her shots. But every night, Bhoori would post herself by our door, like a furry bodyguard.
Last weekend, things got scary. A whole pack of strays attacked and one of them even bit Pixel. But Bhoori, well, she surprised everyone. She rallied all the strays from our lane, like a tiny general, and chased off the attackers! Now, our morning walks are a sight to see. All the neighborhood strays, who used to give Pixel the stink-eye, follow us around like her personal guard dogs. Bhoori even tries to "train" Pixel in some kind of doggy combat – it's hilarious! This whole experience makes you realize how complex dog social life is. Maybe it's pack instinct, maybe Bhoori just doesn't like bullies, or maybe there's even some doggy empathy at play. Whatever it is, the bond between Bhoori and Pixel is something special, a heartwarming reminder that friendship can blossom in the most unexpected places. This story will be incomplete if you don't get to witness Pixel and Bhoori's bond, my sister has even started to address Bhoori as "Bhoori Masi" for how she looks after Pixel.
