I did not go into this movie because I was a fan of the NBA — I don't even really have a strong liking for basketball, but this movie gave me much more. Watching a nobody from a different part of the world rise to become a star was amazing and fun. The ups and downs in this movie with Adam Sandler's comic relief kept me hooked.
