Okay so one way to look at this is how people who are poor don’t understand why would someone pay good money for ripped jeans, but all of us who can afford it and know that they’re in fashion might not question it…because for us it is normal.
It is understandable for us if someone doesn’t understand this fashion choice.
But when it comes to people richer than us, a part of us is jealous and a part of our brain cannot comprehend their choices (which are different from us).
Just how a set of people buys ₹10 parle chips, another goes for Lays that’s more expensive, then their are people who buy Kettle studio chips ₹100, Torres, Artisan and so on… they pick what they’re used to…

I feel like most of the times their target audience is not the rich, but the upper middle class who want to portray themselves as rich. The actual rich people would rather not buy this stuff and go for quiet luxury.
