Was one of the few who did not like The Dark Knight Rises, perhaps because I knew the characters too well for too long (I had read about Bane more than a decade before the film), but the film had scenes and screenplay and music that were outstanding even seen in isolation. One of the scenes that sticks in mind is that of the police gathering for a final confrontation with Bane’s thugs. I honestly thought Batman’s appearance messed it up a little, but the sheer theatre of it all is amazing. Of course, and the music! https://youtu.be/sWZi3nc_AHw?s…
