There couldn’t be a better director than Nandita Das to direct Zwigato. She has a way of showing the most subtle emotions in an effective yet relatable manner.
Zwigato reflects the story of a common man during the pandemic when many folks lost their livelihood and decided to do odd jobs to sustain and survive. With such a delicate thread of emotion, Nandita directed this beautifully.
The most surprising was Kapil. This movie showed his versatility. His acting infiltrated the emotions just like his comedy that the common man was facing at that time. Unlike his past movies, you are willing to watch Zwigato again.
If you haven’t seen it, watch it for sure.
It has multiple dynamics that you can explore. The bond between husband and wife, father & children, economic burdens, societal image, and patriarchal ego. This movie has everything and you will find a little part of you somewhere in the movie for sure.
