Beside Mission Impossible films being obvious, I like his work in A few good men, The Firm, Color of money, Days of thunder over Top Gun, Magnolia, Eyes wide shut, Minority report, Jack reacher. Whenever he plays a villain like in Collateral and Interview with a vampire.

I appreciate the filmmaking in this, but I have my reservations about the Samurai propaganda in this. Samurais were not the some noble warrior class that Japanese and Western media portrayed them to be. They were a brutal bureaucratic caste who didn't want to lose their class privileges with modernization. Plus, I think Ken Watanabe outclassed Cruise in this.

Totally. I believe he is very underrated actor and not given as much praise he deserves.
