Shogun had a pretty subversive finale. Instead of showing some epic battle, it focused on behind-the-scenes Realpolitiking and how wars are won even before the first sword is drawn on the battlefield 10/10.

Overall take on the show?
I really enjoyed the show; it had echoes of early Game of Thrones. Biggest achievement of the show and the story according to me is how it stayed true to the actual nature of the japanese feudal politics- how unforgiven and brutal it could become at any given moment. It also improved on the source material I think, as it avoided the oriental tropes and instead focused on developing characters.
