So studios invest like in many shows and whichever one performs the best, they profit off of that and offset the losses too I think
Like when you think of HBO you generally think of sopranos, Game of thrones, the wire, house of the dragon etc but they have like hundreds of shows which failed and they would have produced that too

IMO, there is nothing wrong with pirating movies, TV-series, games, etc.
Pop-culture shouldn't exist only for those who can afford it.

the statement is somewhat oversimplifying the justification whereas there's a lot to play and I really think people should respect art or a product more rather than think about missing out on pop culture
or put it this way
would you want people to use your creation for free if you have invested hefty amount and time on it

Artists deserve to be paid, thatโs it. Theyโve put in enough effort to create it, they should be able to monetise and have enough motivation to create more.
