I saw the trailer in the hall while watching gladiator. Was not amused.

Brilliant reviews. Let’s see how this really is.

There were exactly 3 dramatic scenes and the rest was all musical. Naturally, for the lovers of musicals, this movie is a goldmine. And for the rest of tasteless folks like me, we sulk!

The first half was interesting and I anticipated a lot more from second half. But nothing happened. If it wasn't for the musical, it's not even a 30mins story.

The art direction, the sets, the make-up, costumes and all, are just brilliant. But, but... but they are so perfect that it hurts, actually hurts. Like when you eat too heavy a dose of sugar and your tastebuds hate you, or when your eyes got zapped by an extreme bout of bright light, it hurts worse than that. The perfection here is frustrating and after a point, an eye sore. You are just left visually overwhelmed.

I'm hoping kids would love it. But then, why show this story to kids? It's not Frozen.
