All my bookmarks are organised and sorted there from more than two decades. I temporarily switched to Safari but their bookmarking is shite so got back to Chrome.

You should talk to @ishant and @rohit about this

Voted for "Edge" but honestly no one is favourite 🙈, tried all the options and there are some pros & cons for all. Sometimes these pros & cons lead me to the thought that let's add pros together and develop my own browser.

No favorites but Chrome is the default. I didn't enjoy the developer experience in Safari when tried. Have had some trouble with Firefox even launching properly in Windows in the past. Now I can't be bothered to change my browser.

Opera:- 1. Amazing workspaces management, smooth transitions while you do that. 2. They use term "Island" for grouping the tabs, that's also amazing. 3. I like the pin to left sidebar feature which app you used most like WhatsApp, X, your fav music app. 4. One major con is sometimes when you switching between workspace very frequently then it will stuck.
❤️

BTW all my experience is based on "mac" not "window".

Firefox Family: I used Firefox, Firefox Developer Edition, Firefox lite(discontinued) 1. There family eats less memory from your system 🥳 2. Fast browsing no lag at all. 3. Even in developer edition there are many dev tools which are very helpfull for developers. Major is website profiling(amazing inbuild tool). 4. One major con is extension support 😭 5. Few websites are not open properly, feels doubt then need to cross check with other browsers🥲

Arc: (one of my fav) Ahhh.. new player of the race. 1. Introduced the left nav system in browser, before Arc Edge use to do this btw, but not in that good manner. 2. There workspace thing, they called that "space". Amazing ✨ 3. Fill with lots of Shortcuts, all extensions, fav tab feature. 🚀 4. But but in last 2-3months don't know what they update, started consuming high memory, lots of crashes 😢, btw in recent update they claim that they fixed things.

Chrome: One of the oldest player, I don't like it 🤮 Not using it at all. 1. Too much memory & space consuming. 2. No space management. 3. And personally don't like there privacy privacy thing. ❌

Well yeah, thats the major usecase. Other than that some resource tabs and youtube are open. I also do kill many tabs as it gets annoying to look at. So don't much care about laptop resource issue yet.

raindrop.io
I don't use bookmarks.(but i guess you can import your chrome bookmarks here, not sure) Instead of bookmark use "Raindrop" very similar to bookmark, save links with custom tags & it's available in for all browsers. So very helpful & if you are using "Raycast" then you can search your links from there also. Raindrop - https://raindrop.io/ Raycast - https://raycast.com/

Safari: Best for browsing in Mac 🚀 but wait.. only in browsing not for developers, safari's dev console & tools are not so good 🥲 1. In terms of browsing speed it's very good. 2. It's best in terms of memory uses for Mac. 3. The con is extensions 👎🏻, & what I really feel the missing feature is 'ctrl+tab' for recent tab switching 🙃🙃 Bonus: If you want to try similar browser like Safari try Orion Browser, kind of Safari++. Give a try once.

Have you used vivaldi? It's really good in terms of the features, customization, speed, etc. It's chromium based so works as well as chrome. It was cofounded by the co-founder and ex-ceo of opera so it also adopts a lot of similar design decisions. Only problem I had with it was how horrible it looks. The UI/UX is horrible and feels like something from the past. Do give it a try though.

It's funny because when Vivaldi launched, one of the attraction points was that it looked pretty

Switching between the tabs is pain. There is too much eye movement. Also it is now using as much memory Chrome used to and keeps crashing

I have used it on windows so my experience is from an extremely early version of the browser...The fact that the tab switcher is messed up and won't let me switch to the previous and next tab with keyboard makes me angry. And the fat it decides to archive my tabs for no reason also pisses me off. I understand their ideas and decisions but they are not for me.

Couldn't agree more on archiving the tabs. Extremely annoying

But even with the hype it’s delivering on its effectiveness as a browser. Brave is much better for privacy though.

I spent the entire day trying out different browsers ...zen browser honestly stands out. It gives the look of arc, it's available on all platforms, it works smoothly, its fast and customizable. Its firefox based. It's a browser that is good at its job.
Pratyush Khuntia
I still have some tiny complaints but nothing I can't live with since they are mostly about how cluttered and text heavy it feels. 😅
Pratyush Khuntia
If you haven't tried zen browser, I recommend trying it out and forming your own opinion. (Don't forget to try the mods to customize the look and feel, I might create some of my own mods to take care of my tiny complaints 😂)
