Paul King, the genius filmmaker who gave us the 99% RT rated movie, Paddington 2, has redone the miracle.
King has gift-wrapped (beyond the Christmas season) the prequel to one of world's favourite classic, and in the most charming, warm and delightful manner possible 🥹
It would be extremely hard to beat this one's casting. They got all the best of the lot, in one chocolatey shot!
Timothée Chalamet, Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins... phewww. There are more of them and wow 🤩
Everyone's just perfect for their whimsical part. It's a performance powerhouse 🥰
I wouldn't do justice if I didn't confess that the movie stole from my dreams and made it better. The overall ambience — sets, architecture, vehicles, gadgets, costumes, colours, vfx — all blend like magic to create just the right nostalgia one hopes to infuse in an escapist tale.
I sure wished to, and want to do so all the more strongly now, with whatever I happen to write ✨
Must-watch if you have ever had dreams and the child in you cannot resist being wowed by the wonder of this master film.
P.S. The film is best enjoyed with people you love 🫶
