I don't know how true this is but apparently the writers of GOT last 2 seasons are the same ones who are writing House of the Dragon

So true! Its not as gripping as GOT

for GoT last season they had no reference at all and wrote independently but the dance of dragons is a completed story hopefully they’ll not mess it up as big as GoT
