Under the Skin was my first exposure to Jonathan Glazer's work, and I'm glad that it was.
Based on Michel Faber's sci-fi satiric novel of the same name, it dares to be a touch more idiosyncratic, taking on its own hauntingly poetic form. Much like the form of its protagonist: an alien-succubus passing through dreary towns in search of her next prey.
All of it feels strange, visceral, atmospheric but above all, surreal.
