If folk horror is right up your alley, The Wailing should be on your watchlist because it takes the subgenre in a completely different, quite silly, and extremely scary direction. The end climax feels like a scene plucked out of my worst fever dreams. It will put you in a trance, a sort of paralysis even, if you look long and hard enough. The feeling of dread is inescapable. Once paired with a medley of perplexity, it's a deadly combination.
