What did you not like about the film?
him
I got bored. Nothing really happened. I didn’t feel anything for any character. Amazing style. No substance!
cyberjunkie
Very surprising. I think the film does an amazing job of packing a deeper narrative with its visual metaphors, which kind of makes it hard not to care.

Seeing the transition from the ethereal sandy dunes on Arrakis to the cold and brutalist world of Harkonnen where we're introduced to Feyd Routha. Not only a stylistic and refreshing change for the moment, what happens in the next 10 mins also tells you a lot about the character and how he's going to meet his maker (the kind of foreshadowing I can get behind).

I missed DV's Blade Runner 2049 on the silver screen due to exams and now this. I'm just gonna have to make my peace with it

What's the metaphor here? These are just great visuals.

The way these scenes are composed tells you how the director wants you to think and feel. It’s showing, not telling. There’s one where Paul is shown adamantly stating he’s not here (Arrakis) to lead, followed by a cut to him “pointing the way” on the desert, the frame awash with sinister grays and blues.

For all its imperfections or “lack of dialogue and internal conflicts”, Dune Part Two makes its stance on the morality issue very clear so I don’t understand the complaints that I’m reading about its narrative. There’s not much ambiguity here or even lack of storytelling, for that matter.

Agree to disagree, I guess :)

They did extend IMAX screenings, but I’m not sure if it’s for India as well
