Interesting that many of the best modern action directors have come from the Stunt performing community. Maybe this is where females stunt performers need to be encouraged to upgrade to the director's chair.

Fair. I was reading an industry report somewhere where it said although there has been a gradual increase in the recruitment of women in all departments since the aughts, any female director that rose up the ranks is likely to stop directing after their first big release.
