The Joy Luck Club ⭑⭑⭑

I'm looking for recommendations in world cinema that don't subscribe to the enlightened west ideology. While watching this film has been a welcome emotional ride, I can't really fathom how it properly serves the ultimate Asian American experience. Nevertheless, a good watch for its time. Anyone else who watched The Joy Luck Club?
