I started watching this because of the star cast, Tarantino as a director, and who wouldn't want to see Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio together? But this movie was so much more than that. It got so intense by the end, and the portrayal of 1960s Hollywood was mesmerizing.
Later on, I got to know how it was based on one of the most famous murders in American history, the Manson Family killings, and the murder of Sharon Tate. Though she was saved in the film because they ended up visiting Dalton's house, I am glad for that. From the start, Sharon Tate had such an innocent presence in the movie, and knowing the real-life ending, it would have been a sad one. Cliff Booth's character, who ends up being the hero who saved Rick Dalton, was also very interesting. He is a very layered, complex character, and Brad Pitt plays this part very well.
