I recently visited one of the most serene places i've experienced, it soothed me just to be present there and the whole trek up was this view with cool mountain air. We trekked to the point where tree line disappears and went further 2 km to reach hemkund sahib. It had to be the most difficult of all the treks but the whole aura there, prasad and ardas rejuvenated me. It also has a Lakshman temple that is said to have been built at the place where Lakshman meditated to regain his health after the Ramayan war.

The hemkund sahib lake. This lake has no record of the depth of it; machines have only been able to measure a distance of 400 ft.

Also, got to see this rare flower known as the king of himalayan flowers, "Brahma Kamal". It blooms in the monsoons and only once a year, usually after sunset and grows in the Himalayan mountains at altitudes of 3,700–4,600 meters only and is a symbol of resilience and adaptability because it grows in such inhospitable terrain. Local communities in the Himalayas celebrate the bloom of the Brahma Kamal with many festivals and songs.
