So i finally got around to watch this and i must say i was completely disappointed. They should have named it Jeetu ke pravachan instead, people can’t talk normally in this show. Everyone needs to give some sort of gyaan every 2 minutes. Getting through each episode was tougher than the JEE preparation

Spoiler alert: but i wished in the ending they would have shown him getting into NIT rather than taking a drop which just went against the philosophy of the show: that preparation matters not the success. I thought they were saying you just need to prepare yourself strongly for such exams but The ending just goes on to show that getting into IIT is the ultimate goal. Anyway it’s my opinion. Any thoughts?

I think TVF shows are very much nostalgia fodder and comfort television. None of them have a critical lens or anything. Which is fine as Indian OTT is still discovering itself. Hope it moves into a more critical direction soon.

i didn’t get the last line, India has already produced such mind blowing OTT and TVF being the pioneer in webseries (Pitcher s1) have also produced good shows: Permanent roommates, panchayat, gullak so kota factory seemed too bland in comparison to their previous feat and that too being distributed on netflix
