In got we all knew winter was coming and it being mentioned many times due to which we knew something great will happen when winter arrives.
In HOTD its seems like just story happening. There is no purpose due to which its becoming boring till end.

Hahaha. I have read the book and it made it very easy for me to be team Black. I liked that the show made it more balanced when it comes to choosing the sides
