The Amazon Great Republic Day Sale has got underway and there are already two very good deals for those who want Bluetooth headphones, but are on a tight budget. These are the JBL Tune 770NC and the Sony WH-CH720N. Both are getting hefty discounts and are crazy good value for money.

The JBL Tune 770NC normally retail for about Rs 6,999 or more but are now available at Rs 4,999. At that price, they are staggeringly good value for money. You get good quality audio with a slight bass accent, reasonable ANC and a fantastic 70 hour battery life (about 40 hours with ANC). There is also the option to connect with multiple devices if you wish. The headphones are very comfortable to wear, and are also available in a funky purple shade. The ANC is not crazy good, but is reasonable for the point. Best bluetooth headphones below Rs 5,000? These are definitely contenders, especially if you love bass, action films and games.

The Sony WH-CH720N (someone give the folks who come up with these names an award already) on the other hand, are generally sold for a price in the vicinity of Rs 9,500, but are now going for Rs 7,998. We think they are the best ANC headphones below Rs 10,000 and they are absolutely killer deal material at the new price. You get very very good ANC (you can actually use it to kill noise in a cafe or a flight), The sound is not quite as rich as the JBL, but you get very decent clarity - it is not as bass crazy as some other headphones. You get 50 hour battery life and the ability to connect to multiple devices. This is terrific for those who want quality ANC at a budget price.
A word of caution: it would be naive to assume that both headphones are perfect. They have their shortcomings too. You will not get the kind of audio you get on Rs 20,000 headphones here, and call quality is going to be a little compromised. The JBL Tune 770NC has better sound, the Sony WH0-CH720N has way better ANC, but both are staggering value for money right now.

These are magnificent, sir. Very very good sound, superb ANC and very good call quality. Best of all, very comfortable to wear. Do also check out the JBL Tour One M2, though - that has a slightly more versatile sound profile.
