Just how big can an iPad be? Well, we have used the 12.9 inch iPad Pro in the past and found it to be a bit on the...big side. But that was the iPad Pro, and was allowed a certain leeway in size terms. Pro models are generally supposed to be bigger and better after all. Well, we just got the 13-inch iPad Air,. and are a little staggered by its size.

If you want tp get an idea of just how big the 13-inch iPad Air is, that's it in comparison to the 10.9-inch one. It is much taller and wider, and yes, you will feel slightly nervous handling it and will have to find extra space for it in your bag, as it takes up pretty much close to the space a MacBook Air would, even though it is much slimmer. It is lighter too, although at 618 grams, we think it is heavy for a tablet with the 'Air' tag!

That said, let's get one thing straight - the 13 inch iPad Air looks pretty smart. It has got the typically clean iPad design, with a flat back and straight sides, crazy 6.1 mm thickness (make that thinner) and now with the bone button having become history, thin bezels around a display. And at 13 inches, the display is the star of the show.

That 13-inch display might not have the "Tandem" OLED that the iPad Pros have but take it from us, when you see it, you will be mesmerised. At 2732 x 2048, it is close to the resolution of the 13 inch iPad Pro (2752 x 2064), and has the same 264 ppi pixel density, Content really pops on this one, whether you are seeing a film, browsing the web, or heck, Openvying! See for yourself.

It packs in some very good hardware you get the still-very-good M2 processor, excellent stereo speakers, a type-C port, and reasonably good cameras, with the selfie camera being on the landscape side, with the ability to track you. And yes, the battery life of about ten hours remains very much in place. It also supports the new Apple Pencil Pro. In short, you have a notebook-level display with the legendary iPad touch experience and iPadOS,. Pretty nifty!

And all of this at a starting price of Rs 79,900. Should you go for it? Look, if you want a bigger than usual iPad, then this is staggering value for money, as you get the reliability of iPadOS and that extremely powerful M2 processor. In fact, we think that all those who want a tablet that can step in for a notebook should get this one. That display is super for multi-tasking, and is actually big enough to even type comfortably. Just be ready to have plenty of space to handle and carry it. This ain't easy to use one-handed or without a table. This is one heavy duty iPad Air!
