OnePlus has just launched the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite. And in best Nord CE Lite tradition, it gets in some very decent specs at a surprisingly affordable price - hey, this is the most affordable OnePlus phone out there. It also brings a dash of blue to our lives that does not make us feel blue at all!

Blue has a new definition. At least when it comes to smartphones. We have seen the shade on many phones, but heck, we have never seen it shine (almost shock) in the way it does on the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite. It is a bright blue with a shiny accent around the camera unit. OnePlus calls it Mega Blue, and says it is inspired by Mega Man. The sides are blue too. Yes, it is plastic but this is a block of bright blue that will turn heads. Now, when did we last say that about a phone priced under Rs 20,000!? You also get Orange and Silver, but hell, who cares. This a Bleed Blue phone!

It is pretty decently specced too, with plenty of upgrades over the Nord CE3 Lite. Now, the display is an AMOLED one - 6.67 inches FHD+ with 120 Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner. It is a nice, bright display too - the previous phone had an LCD display.

Another upgrade is in terms of cameras - you get a Sony LYT 600 50 megapixel main sensor with OIS (rare at this price), although the secondary 2 megapixel 'mono' camera seems decorative. The front camera is a 16 megapixel one.

There are stereo speakers on board as well, as yes, feast your eyes on that image - you also have a 3.5 mm audio jack,so you can use wired headphones with this phone. There's another golden oldie on board too - an expandable memory card slot. The phone packs in a massive 5500 mAh battery and comes with a 80W charger in the box, although we hear it takes almost an hour to charge - which is a little much for a charger that fast!

Of course it runs on OxygenOS and comes with Android 14 out of the box. The only cloud on this clear blue horizon is the fact that the phone runs on a rather ancient Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip (which was used on the Nord CE3 Lite as well). You get RAM and storage variants of 8 GB/ 128 GB and 8 GB/ 256 GB. So while the Nord CE4 Lite should be able to do mulit-tasking reasonably well and is likely to be a great phone in terms of battery life, it is not really tailor made for gaming. But then which Rs 20,000 phone is?

All in all, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is a pretty rock solid phone for its price: Rs 19,999 for 8 GB/ 128 GB, Rs 22,999 for 8 GB/ 256 GB. It adds some good upgrades such an AMOLED display, a bigger battery and a camera with OIS, and retains a memory card and a 3.5 mm audio jack. All of which makes it on paper, one of the best phones you can get for under Rs 20,000! And then it comes in THAT blue. We are not feeling blue about this one, we are seeing it.
