2024 is barely a new hours old and we already have news of the first big flagship phone of the year. It is coming on January 4 and it is from Vivo - the Vivo X100 Pro. Of course, it boasts top of the line specs and that glittery back will turn heads. But the USP of the phone is likely to be that massive camera unit on the back- just as it was on the X90 Pro. And just like in the X90 Pro, here too the cameras are co-engineered with the legendary Zeiss.

That very large circular camera unit on the back houses three 50 megapixel cameras - a main, ultrawide and a telephoto sensor. The big star is the main sensor - it is a massive one-inch sensor, bigger than the ones on the iPhone and Pixels and the S23. We cannot tell you more right now, but there are stacks of shooting modes and features. The price is going to be crucial. Rumours indicate around Rs 70,000 (ouch!). We will know for sure on January 4!
