I recently watched EWS and it's definitely a polarising film—one you’ll either love or hate. If you're into films with a slow pace and unravelling layered narratives, you'll likely appreciate its complexity. Like Casablanca or The Wizard of Oz (subtly referenced in the film), Eyes Wide Shut reveals new details with each watch that pull you deeper into Kubrick’s rabbit hole. Visually, it’s absolutely stunning, as you’d expect from Kubrick. The cold, analytical style he’s known for is definitely there, but this one is paired with a closer look at human dynamics imo
