Thank you @omkar for the truly eye-opening session and offering deep insights into the common thought traps that influence our decision-making. It was really effective to explore these concepts through real-life examples, it made my understanding a lot better. I particularly appreciated the discussion on commitment bias and optimism bias, and how they shape our perceptions and choices. Recognizing these biases is crucial as they often lead to less than ideal outcomes by clouding our judgment. Thank you @mv for shedding light on the 80/20 principle. Your insights struck a chord with me, especially considering my recent experiences in design writing. Thank you @him for sharing the quote; it beautifully captured the essence of preparedness and foresight. Overall, I'm thankful for the stimulating conversation and the actionable insights gained from the session. It has inspired me to rethink my approach to work and productivity, stressing the importance of strategic planning and clear-headed decision-making. Thanks for such an enriching session.

Hi @omkar congrats on another blockbuster sesh 🎉 I guess it probably felt like an unnerving ride to you but it was really engaging, nonetheless. Picking up a book just to take a session is something I absolutely relate with, which is how, sometimes, we rush into understanding concepts. The session was giving big Daniel Kahneman energy from the get-go, yet I couldn't remember having read anything like it. Except I knew what sunk-cost fallacy was, thanks to Farmville. I appreciate you taking the time out to repeat questions and answers to everyone each time. Brownie points for supporting your theory with actionable steps towards the end, albeit it seemed you probably had more to say. Looking forward to more such sessions in the future ✨

Hey @omkar, Your session was awesome! 🎉 I loved how you started with that cool question about starting new things – it really got us thinking! And when you talked about the "window of doom," it made so much sense. 🪟💡 Your examples from "How Big Things Get Done" were spot on and helped us understand everything easily. 📚🤔 Whether we were diving into research and development or unraveling the mysteries of cognitive biases like the commitment fallacy and sunk cost fallacy, your examples made everything crystal clear. 💡💭 I also really appreciated how you made the session so interactive – it felt like we were all part of the conversation! Your energy kept us hooked the whole time. And learning about snap judgments and reasoned judgments was super interesting – I never knew there was so much to think about! 🧠💬 Thanks for such a fun and informative session, Omkar! 🙌🌟

Hey @omkar, I am super impressed and inspired by how far you’ve come. It was a fantastic session. Thank you for introducing us to the “Commitment Fallacy” concept. It was very funny when on a meta level commitment fallacy happened during the session. You probably had a lot more to discuss but the way you handled your time and wrapped up the session in a way that it doesn’t feel incomplete — on the spot — was amazing 👏 I really like how you listen to every single answer and give your honest judgement if the answer is correct or not. There are sessions where I’ve seen hosts accepting an answer because at least someone answered. Greatly appreciated. Always awaiting your sessions ✨

Thank you @omkar , for this Thursday session, it was very deep. I really enjoyed this session. It was very interactive and fun. I loved the way you asked questions at the beginning of the session, providing us with real-life situations. This real-life example was relable and helped me understand the concepts much better. The idea of a commitment policy made me realize how effective it is to understand our work and execute it efficiently. I started questioning everything I do in my daily life, from tasks at the office to cooking at home. Thank you, @him , for explaining it in a much easier way by using the example of baking a cake. If we blindly follow the steps without understanding the process of baking the cake, how can we achieve the best outcome? Understanding the process and the importance of each step is more important than simply completing the task. At the end, I want to share something I feel about these Thursday sessions. It's been a month since I joined Sparklin. Every Thursday, I'm amazed at how Sparklin not only helps with work-life growth but also personal growth. While many other offices focus solely on completing office work, Sparklin helps individuals develop themselves into better people. I'm really grateful to be a part of this office. :')

Henlo @omkar Your sessions have a theme (or so I feel) of perception, deception, and commitment fallacy – which, for me, felt like a mix of the past two. I like the approach where a catchphrase is used, followed by an example and explanation. Think slow, act fast, and window of doom in this case. Window of Doom stands out to me because it drives the point home with a visual cue, where I can imagine the repercussions every time I stretch out a task, thanks for a nugget I can carry forward in life. You took the time to hear everyone's interpretation of commitment fallacy and tweaked their example itself to further clarify the understanding. Kudos for not getting frazzled by how we went around in a circle for a single point. All in all, a fun, conversational and informative session 🚀

Hellooo @omkar , Your sessions are always interesting – you talk about stuff like how we see things, how we trick ourselves, and why we sometimes stick to things even when it's not smart. I really like how you explain things, like when you talk about "think slow, act fast," and then give us examples, like the "window of doom." It helps me understand things better. You're really patient too. Remember when we kept going in circles about commitment fallacy? You didn't get annoyed. Instead, you explained things again until we got it. I like that you're honest too. You don't just say "good job" to everyone. You tell us if we're right or wrong. Also, you're good at managing time. Even if you had more to talk about, you always finish the session nicely, so we don't feel rushed. Overall, your sessions are fun and easy to understand. Can't wait for the next one! 🚀

Your examples about research and development, and cognitive biases like the commitment fallacy and sunk-cost fallacy were very clear. Thank you for an informative session. Looking forward to more session 🫡

Hey @omkar Thankyou for a very informative session. Your patience throughout the session was commendable! 🫡 The commitment fallacy was a very new concept for me and I can easily vouch for the fact that it is something I will keep with me moving forward. The numerous examples you gave really helped understand this concept What I also really liked was the point of optimism and how it should be as closed to reality as possible. Looking forward to the next one! ✨

Hello @omkar, it was a wonderful session! Initially, I didn't understand or couldn't get a good hold of the topic. After you explained it with the example, I could understand a little bit. Then, after Himanshu asked you to point out people to give examples, and when people started giving their own examples, I could understand how different people have understood that. After Himanshu's quote of Abraham Lincoln, it made even more sense and explained the concept of commitment fallacy. Every Thursday provides a lot of self-realization. Likewise, this also is not an exception to it. How I'm making decisions without even considering other factors that will affect the process. The thing is because I do it in a way like I know. Even in the task assigned to me last week, I didn't ask other people's experiences on that topic. Now I'll make sure I'll take adequate time to think before making a decision. And Omkar, you were nice throughout the session, repeating the question whenever anyone asks you. Thank you and looking forward to more sessions like this in the future!

hey @omkar , What an amazing session. Questions you picked for starters were awesome. Later on you shed light on topics like“sunk cost system “ and commitment fallacy . Those were completely new to me. I liked when everyone was trying out different examples for concepts , you handled it very smoothly . I still don’t fully understand the commitment fallacy and will explore more on topic. “Think slow , act fast”. This was the highlight for me and taking this as learning for future. I internally knew that i do rush things but thanks to you for reminding me this and from now on will introspect more on this . Thanks for amazing session !! looking forward to next one . ✨

Hi @omkar, Your session was amazing! Thank you for introducing us to concepts of commitment fallacy, window of doom - lots to read this weekend. I loved how you adapted to the audience and shaped the session. Your approach to explaining each concept was very clear and well-organised. It was amazing to see how patiently you listened and clarified everyone's understanding, especially during the circling discussions on the commitment fallacy concept. Thanks for kicking off the day amazingly — can't wait for the next one!

Hey @omkar, Your session consistently explored fascinating themes, and your focus on the commitment fallacy felt particularly insightful. I particularly appreciate your approach of using catchy phrases like "think slow, act fast" and "window of doom" to introduce concepts. The "window of doom" example is brilliant – it hit home as we dived into the consequences of procrastination. It's a powerful reminder I'll definitely carry forward. I also enjoyed how people were able to get context about the sunk- cost fallacy while we dabbled into the commitment fallacy conversation, it drew two different parallels and made the conversation all the more engaging I also loved how you actively listened to everyone's interpretation of the commitment fallacy and even used our examples to further solidify the concept. Thanks for your patience as we unpacked that idea together! Overall, your session was a perfect blend of fun, engaging conversation, and valuable information.

Hello @omkar , First of all, congratulations on having a great session on this significant topic. I loved your chosen topic and appreciate how you are making changes in yourself and teaching them in sessions. I loved the concept of commitment fallacy and how if someone is telling their perspective, you ask them to compare it with their tasks or daily life. So that they can learn it quickly and connect it to their real life, they can keep this concept in their mind. Thanks, @him , for telling us in simple terms and giving us new directions to think about it. I can wait for your next session.
