Hello - the question which credit card to get is very open ended. it's based on your income and also how much you spend annually. yes its worth having to pay for cards. the effective rewards can be as high as 15% too. I have done a detailed video with Wint wealth where I discuss a few cards too

Marriott bonvoy card is good for the free night and 10 night credits for status upgrade. not otherwise. I would recommend going for amex cards. reward rate is quite high.
