Pretty clear why we wanted to get rid of Maguire. Extremely passive. Onana/Casemiro had to signal him a few times to make some movement for passes. He's the one who could've come out for a block. Both Evans and him are okay at getting rid of an aerial threat. Otherwise, they suck at ground play.

May be, He has fucked up a lot in simpler situation as well. I dont think so it's fair comparison.
What Onana brings is playing from the back, handling pressure etc .. which DDG would never do.
I loved DDG and his will always admire his contribution to this team — I know he has single handedly saved our matches and seasons. But it was time..

Time is ok. But replacements need to be better. Anyways he has just started PL isnt easy compared to other leagues.

DDG has let similar or rather simpler situations get to him. I'd be more critical of the players not coming out to block the shot especially when Rice had such space/time.
