What about Webflow's new branding and UI? I really liked it, although I also liked the old one. By the way, it almost never happens with me -- I always tend to complain about branding changes at first.
What are your thoughts? I'm really curious to find out what you think.
Here is some of the defense I read on x/Twitter, in various profiles:
There are 3 shapes that form the icon.
The square represents HTML's box model
The curve represents CSS's border radius
And the dash represents Javascript
Before reading it, I had already associated the 3 shapes with HTML, CSS and JS in my mind, and I think it is quite impressive...

Strangely I don’t recall the earlier identity. And I’m yet to Google it.

It's nice but I might have never recognised it otherwise. Perhaps, not as memorable.

The old representation is really vivid in my mind yet. But probably because I use this tool so often. I don't yet recognize the new icon as Webflow's icon (and it has been a few days now)

The new brand is not darker or lighter, really. The image I chose for the post might have misled you. They defined both logos to be very neutral, so they can put it on top of the designs people do with their product.
