What are some of the best hacks to learn a new language?

I am using the most accessible method-Duolingo. I am able to read small sentences now, so, I try reading children’s books in Spanish now. Yet to crack how to get proficient in speaking

This comes with a caveat of finding individuals who are kind and patient enough to do that with you 😅

Omg! reading children’s books is a brilliant idea! I’ve been on and off Duolingo for Spanish for a year now and haven’t truly moved beyond Dónde está el baño 😜
