When an earthquake forces young Paddington (voiced with impeccable sweetness by Ben Whishaw) to leave his jungle home, he stows away on a ship to London, a place his late uncle once described as a welcoming city without British cynicism. What he finds instead is indifference...until the Brown family, somewhat reluctantly, takes him in.
