It is a Marvel movie about DC superhero a misconstrued amalgamation. James Gunn’s superman is more man and less super. A lot of things are there without any explanations. 300 years ago metahumans appeared, kaiju’s, monsters are there. Deal with it. Man of steel superman was atleast a man at conflict. Sure he was way too brooding, burdened with actions of his fathers(Jor el infusing the whole kryptonion codex into kal making him most important and pa Kent. Both dying to keep him safe as hidden. This movie could have been called Superfriends. I expected a lot from Gunn. This movie is very much forgot-able and one time watch.

I think it's futile to cry about one interpretation of Superman over the other when the character has gone through so many. The film has issues but reinterpretation is not one of them.
