As an Indian living outside India, I feel like it reassures a sense of belonging, as compared to the country we earn a living in. Even the ones who change their citizenship, they do so purely out of what’s best for them, be it financial or safety, but ask them about India, and they’ll always have a strong attachment to it, also the further away you are from it, they more you want to make sure you don’t lose your connection.
