More often designers get asked how well they can work with developers. Their knowledge of different coding languages. How often developers get asked the question how well they can work with designers? Do they know basic ux principles or have knowledge of visual Design?

But both technically don't make sense.
This has been a long debate of expecting design engineers. Some exceptions exist and they're amazing at what they do.
But not a compulsion in most cases.
Every musician doesn't sing. Every singer doesn't compose 🤭
