Best restaurant in Colombo is Ministry of crab (RESERVE, and check holidays on their website) Make sure you take a train from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, the route is extremely scenic. Even NE to Ella train ride is veryyyy beautiful. As good as the former. Book these tickets at least 2 weeks in advance to get the first or second class. It’s generally sold out. Don’t miss Egg Samosas wherever you find them. Alcohol- Try Arrack, it’s like a rum made with Coconut Flowers. I have personally tried and loved it. Ella- It’s full of Leeches and tourists (I was told) 🫣. Don’t miss the hike to Little Adam’s Peak. You walk through tea plantations. Also try Chocolate Roti at N2 restaurant. Ravana waterfall is a let down.
